Mr. Warehall
Welcome! I am proud to be your math teacher this year. The 2016/17 academic year marks my 17th year as an educator and the 15th at Kennedy Middle School.
As your eighth grade math instructor you should know that I have high expectations and hold my students accountable for the choices they make. I expect them to hold high standards for themselves, both socially and academically. I also encourage my students never to give up, even when they are frustrated, for that is a part of learning. The environment in our classroom will be one that fosters a deep understanding of the content. Multiple representations of mathematics will be incorporated to reach all learners. Students will also take an active role as they are challenged to share their thinking, defend their solutions, work with their peers, and get involved in discussions. My goal is for all students to have an incredible learning experience.
Work Experience in Education
I take pride in the fact that over the past decade many of my students have been accepted into high-achieving high schools, which require students to pass an entrance exam before being admitted. I prepare my students well for these tests. Acceptance into MMSTC and IAM is highly competitive and restrictions are put on individual districts. In 2012 nine of my students were accepted and thirteen were in 2013.
